Growth Services
Creative Orbit's primary focus is AI SEO — getting businesses cited, recommended, and chosen in AI answer engines and traditional search. These growth services sit alongside that work. They're what turn AI SEO visibility into enquiries, revenue, and a brand people recognise.
Four services on a single page: Digital Marketing, Brand Storytelling, Creative Content, and Web Design. Each is delivered directly by Simon Bayliss — no account managers, no juniors, no outsourcing. Based in Keiraville, Wollongong, with clients across the Illawarra, Sydney, and regional NSW. 15+ years of experience across regional tourism, e-commerce, professional services, and trades.
These services work best in combination with AI SEO or Local SEO Wollongong, but each can be engaged on its own where it makes sense.
Scope, priorities, and next steps — no obligation.
Where These Services Fit
AI SEO earns you visibility in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, and traditional search. Growth services do the rest of the job — turning that visibility into action and giving the AI engines something worth citing in the first place.
Digital marketing amplifies AI SEO reach with paid, email, and social. Brand storytelling gives your business a narrative that both people and AI systems can recognise. Creative content fills the pages, guides, and answer blocks that AI engines extract from. Web design is the foundation the other three rely on — a site that's fast, structured, and built for citation.
- Direct delivery — you work with me, not a team
- Audit first, then strategy, then execution
- AI where it helps (research, outlines, reporting), human where it counts (voice, judgement, decisions)
- Australian English, regional voice, honest scope
- National service, Wollongong-based
- Month-to-month engagements — no lock-in
Each section below covers what the service is, who it's for, what an engagement looks like, and one concrete proof point.
Digital Marketing
Integrated campaigns that connect search, content, email, and paid — instead of running in parallel and hoping something works.
What it is
Digital marketing here means the amplification layer that sits on top of your AI SEO, website, and content — not a separate universe. Paid search, paid social, email, and organic social all run from a single plan with shared metrics, tied back to enquiries and revenue rather than impressions and clicks.
"AI-first" in this context doesn't mean letting a bot write your ads. It means designing campaigns so Google, Meta, AI assistants, and real people can all quickly understand who you help — then using AI in the background for research, reporting, and optimisation, never for final copy or strategic decisions.
Who it's for
Businesses running ads, email, and social in parallel without a shared plan — dashboards full of impressions and CTR, but no clear line from activity to leads or revenue. Also businesses whose current media plans ignore AI overviews and answer engines, still built for 2019 search behaviour.
What an engagement looks like
An audit of your analytics, ad accounts, email platform, and content — then a 90-day plan with clear channel priorities. From there, we build and launch the assets (landing pages, ad sets, email sequences), track properly, and review every 90 days. Focused menu of services covering campaign strategy and positioning, paid search and social, email and lifecycle sequences, social media strategy, analytics and reporting, and marketing operations.
Proof point
A professional services firm was running LinkedIn ads to cold audiences with "book a consultation" CTAs. Cold-to-consult conversion was struggling. We rebuilt the funnel around case study content first, offering consultations only to engaged prospects — a step-change in conversion rate at a lower cost per lead. The channels didn't change. The sequence did.
Brand Storytelling
A clear, repeatable narrative that AI engines can cite and customers can remember — grounded in real experience, not generic marketing copy.
What it is
Brand storytelling is how you consistently explain who you are, what you stand for, and how you help — in words and visuals that feel yours, not like a generic template. It's the difference between "quality service" (forgettable) and specific stories about how you actually solved real problems for real customers.
In an AI-first web, this matters more than ever. AI answer engines synthesise recommendations from sources they can verify and trust. Named authors, specific case studies, dated projects, and local context all become signals that separate you from the sea of interchangeable providers.
Who it's for
Businesses with incredible stories buried in About-page fine print — decades of family history, specialist knowledge, deep community roots — but whose website reads like it was written by committee, social media sounds sporadic and generic, and sales conversations tell a third story. Also businesses whose AI SEO is doing the technical job but whose content lacks the E-E-A-T proof AI engines need to cite confidently.
What an engagement looks like
A story discovery session to unpack your origin, pivotal moments, client wins, and local roots — then a narrative document, tone-of-voice guide, and content pillar framework you can use across website, socials, proposals, and sales. Includes case study templates with clear problem/solution/outcome structure, author credentials and bylines, and location-specific storytelling that both humans and AI systems can parse. Typical foundation work takes four to six weeks.

A trades business had no content strategy — random posts when someone remembered. We defined three pillars: project showcases (before/after), trade tips (common mistakes homeowners make), and team culture (who's behind the work). They now post consistently using these frameworks, and AI search engines have specific, structured content to draw on when the business is mentioned in an AI answer.
Creative Content
SEO-smart articles, guides, service pages, email sequences, and social copy that sound human and work as reusable building blocks.
What it is
Creative content is the mix of articles, guides, landing pages, scripts, and resources that explain your work in plain language while ticking the boxes modern search and AI systems care about. Not content for content's sake — carefully chosen pieces designed to be sliced into social posts, email angles, FAQs, and sales talking points, so the effort compounds instead of disappearing after a single use.
Every piece is written in a human voice, with AI used where it genuinely helps (research, outlines, pattern-spotting) and never for final drafts. AI-only output is generic and detectable. Human-edited content that uses AI strategically is faster to produce while still sounding authentic — and it gives AI SEO engines real substance to cite.
Who it's for
Businesses swinging between drought and flood — months of silence followed by bursts of posts that never quite connect back to search, sales, or any strategy. Also businesses whose current content is a graveyard of 300-word posts from 2019 and service pages that repeat "excellent service" five different ways without demonstrating expertise.
What an engagement looks like
Formats include SEO articles and guides (long-form, topic clusters, pillar pages), service and location pages, case studies and proof content, email sequences (welcome, nurture, re-engagement), social media content pillars and caption frameworks, and lead magnets. Typical turnaround: service page copy in one to two weeks, comprehensive guides in two to four weeks, case studies in one to two weeks. The recommended pace is one to two comprehensive pieces per month rather than ten to fifteen thin blog posts.
Proof point
Fifteen years of regional tourism content across the Darling River Run, Visit Outback NSW, and the Lightning Ridge digital opal destination project — writing for real audiences making real decisions about where to spend a weekend. That regional voice, and the discipline of writing for people rather than search engines, is what makes AI SEO citations feel authentic rather than templated.
Web Design
Audit-first, AI-ready websites built to rank in Google, appear in AI-generated answers, and convert visitors into leads.
What it is
Web design here means building a site structured so it ranks on Google, appears in AI-generated answers (Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity), and converts visitors into leads — not just looks professional. Mobile-first design, technical SEO, LocalBusiness and Service and FAQPage schema, answer-format content, Core Web Vitals optimisation, and clear calls to action on every page. Every project starts with a Screaming Frog audit and competitor analysis before a single layout decision is made — building on data, not designer preferences.
Platforms: Joomla for most small-to-mid business sites (flexible, easy to update, SEO-friendly), Shopify or WooCommerce for e-commerce depending on products and scale. Platform choice always follows your budget, technical comfort, and long-term goals — not what earns me the most.
Who it's for
Businesses with a website that "looks fine on a laptop" but is invisible in local search, slow on mobile, and doesn't convert. Also businesses whose current site was built by a template agency with no SEO structure, or whose platform is old enough that Core Web Vitals can't be fixed within the current theme. The audit will tell you which category you're in — and whether targeted optimisation, or a full rebuild, is the honest answer.
What an engagement looks like
Five stages: audit and competitor analysis (Screaming Frog crawl, GA/GSC review, AI citation readiness check), site architecture and page planning (clean URLs, schema mapping, internal linking), UX design with draft copy and answer-format content blocks, build and pre-launch schema validation (Rich Results Test), then launch, monitor, and refine. Most small-to-mid business sites move from audit to launch in six to twelve weeks. Larger e-commerce or custom builds take three to four months.

Growth Services FAQ
Are these services only available bundled with AI SEO?
No. Each service can be engaged on its own where that's the right fit. They work best in combination with AI SEO or Local SEO Wollongong, but plenty of clients start with a website rebuild, a content project, or a brand storytelling engagement and layer AI SEO on later.
Do you only work with Wollongong businesses?
No. Growth services are national. The base is Keiraville in Wollongong, and there's plenty of Illawarra and regional NSW work in the mix, but content, brand storytelling, digital marketing, and web design engagements happen with clients in Sydney and further afield. Where local context matters — for example a local SEO project — that's where a Wollongong base genuinely helps.
Who actually does the work?
Simon Bayliss. Every engagement, every service. No account managers, no juniors, no outsourcing to offshore teams. The upside is direct communication and consistent judgement. The trade-off is capacity — I take on a small number of clients at a time, and I don't work with direct competitors of existing clients in the same region.
Will you use AI to do the work?
AI is used where it genuinely helps — research, outlines, pattern-spotting, reporting, and technical audits. Final drafts, strategy decisions, and creative judgement stay human. Google's helpful content systems are designed to demote generic AI-generated content, which is exactly why every deliverable has a human editor and a specific point of view.
Can you work with our existing team, agency, or developer?
Yes. Common patterns: I provide the strategy, structure, and templates while your in-house team handles day-to-day execution; or I sit alongside a specialist agency (PR, PPC, brand) and coordinate rather than duplicate their work; or I run audit and content strategy while your existing developer handles the build under my SEO and schema guidance. The priority is the result, not who ships the code.
How long before we see results?
Depends on the service. Web design projects move from audit to launch in six to twelve weeks for most small-to-mid business sites. Brand storytelling foundation work typically takes four to six weeks. Digital marketing shows cleaner reporting and early wins within six to twelve weeks. Content compounds over months, not weeks. Every engagement starts with a clear timeline so you're not guessing.
Do you require long-term contracts?
No. Project-based work is fixed-scope with clear deliverables. Ongoing work is month-to-month after an initial engagement — usually three months — with no lock-in. If the work isn't landing, you should be able to walk away.
What if I only need part of a service?
That's usually how engagements start. A single service page rewrite, a story discovery session, an ad account audit, a Screaming Frog crawl on your existing site — each is a legitimate starting point. From there, we scope what makes sense next based on what the data and the conversation show.
Ready to Talk About the Right Mix?
Most engagements start with a short, honest conversation about what your business actually needs — and what it doesn't. A single service, a combination, or a staged plan built around your existing AI SEO work. No jargon, no pressure, no upselling a rebuild if optimisation is the right answer.
